Rumours around East Cheshire Hospital trust suggest a takeover by Leighton is imminent. I;d like to suggest Congleton and Knutsford combine forces to fight for the two smaller hospitals. In Knutsford we have read of interest re Minor Injuries and as someone involved in a takeover by a larger Trust I know what can happen. Would be grateful if someone could contact me

Having newly joined the Labour Party & Momentum I am just getting the hang of the various web based systems for contact. Unless I have missed something there seems to be no way to raise issues for discussion at Conference (I see there is a meeting at Crewe on 7/9/18 but sadly we are away). I was also expecting to find some Special Interest Groups who would be working on ideas for the Party’s policies and manifesto. Of particular interest to me are Climate Breakdown and then Brexit.

I appreciate that Democracy and the Party’s constitution are important issues but unless we are thinking about how to do our bit for carbon reduction we will end up with an unlivable planet. I don’t think the Constitution would matter much if that comes about.

Of course I could just be looking in the wrong place…

What is the stance of the Congleton Labour party concerning the Orwellian arrest of Tommy Robinson? He has been arrested and interned in prison without a fair hearing and under dubious circumstances. He is not a Nazi, nor is he a right wing fascist! He is simply trying to get to the truth of matters concerning the “Grooming” scandals caused by people from Islamic backgrounds,

not Asians! Asians such as Chinese, Japanese or Korean are not to be found among the culprits. Why the news cover up about Tommy’s arrest? It is unfair to put it mildly! This certainly highlights all that is bad about"PC"!Tommy is just an ordinary working class lad concerned about his country and fellow Englishmen!

Will the Labour party “Elite” question the Conservative ruling party about Tommy’s situation and condone it? I hope so.If not, the Labour party will lose so many of its followers out of distrust in their representatives.

David Bexley David Bexley David Bexley Abolish Universal Credits before it puts majority of the UK in poverty If you have signed this petition, please share it as widely as you can. Unlike what has been suggested widely by the government and press, The roll out of Universal Credit will ADVERSELY affect a wide demographic of our population. Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits are being abolished, Jobseekers Allowance and several other benefits are being rolled into Universal Credit. Despite what the Government is saying about Universal Credit being more simple to administer, it is fact much more complicated and the administration of having to work out the monthly earnings of those on Universal Credit is actually costing our country a great deal more in administration than it is saving by the cuts to people receiving this benefit. Costing Tax Payers more, including those on Universal Credit many of whom work. Many people who currently receive one of the separate benefits will be excluded from applying for Universal Credit, especially those who are on low incomes topped up by Tax Credits, throwing a large number of our population into poverty. Sign the Petition Abolish Universal Credits before it puts majority of the UK in poverty

The new Universal Credit replaces JSA, Income Support, ESA, Housing Benefit, Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits.

BILLIONS taken from the needy and most vulnerable in society.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Paul Clarkson. I am a member of the Labour party and in the Newnham ward in Cambridge. I am writing to see if your CLP has made its nominations yet for the additional NEC candidates.

I am also writing to ask if your CLP would nominate me. I am Chair of my ward, a delegate at GC and the European member of the Executive Committee.

My platform is on economic recovery by diversifying the economy away from purely financial services and into a new industrial drive on science and engineering, particularly using universities as growth centres. I used to work for Rolls-Royce and I am just about to complete a PhD in physics, chemistry and electronic engineering.

I have spent time working with the Civil Service and the Royal Academy of Engineers and I am an advocate of policy development in these areas. I also champion education and health reform.

I am also a writer in the entertainment industry and currently working on the BBC/HBO adaptation of Phillip Pullman’s Dark Materials trilogy (Northern Lights, Subtle Knife and Amber Spyglass).

I will be completing supporting material this weekend (video and a side of A4) and I’m happy to take phone calls to discuss my platform if it pleases your CLP. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Paul Clarkson

A pity the local Labour Party has to trot out the (untrue) mantra about “Conservative cuts” when promoting the petition to save Millbrook. Given that the local Tory MP and the Conservative-run East Cheshire council both oppose the closure – which is being suggested by the Cheshire and Wirral trust – it would help for you not to politicise the situation.
commented 2017-06-23 14:17:47 +0100
To introduce, I am a Cheshire-based writer and observer of UK politics and have at times had links to all of the main UK political parties (except UKIP).

My reason for writing to you is that I would like to share with you – at a meeting or via a 20 minute presentation – a new social map of UK plc, the Mammonocracy Pyramid. I think it may help you and the Labour Party; it consists of 4 layers:

• Wealth Control: Politics, Finance, Law; in control, insulated from the activity below and, sometimes, out of touch with it

• Management Support: Bureaucracy, Beancounters and Bull; a new group, overseeing the activity below, providing the ‘control’

• Wealth Generation: Doers, Makers, Carers, Teachers; work to make the world go round; where we see strain on every moving part

• And wait for it… Dependants: Old, Young, Jobless, Infirm; the most populous group; yes, they are not even in the Pyramid.

I would like to explain the Mammonocracy Pyramid to you and your local party; we can then discuss why our country is divided and uneasy, referring to issues such as:

• The Brexit vote – was this not a crude kickback on immigration, because it serves the narrow interests of Wealth Control?

• Grenfell Tower – an exposure of the exploitative aspect to the lives of many at the bottom of the pyramid?

• The Election – a muddled rejection of the assumption that Wealth Control – strength and stability – is paramount?

• Inequality – the pyramid reflected in the primacy of South over North, Old over Young, Rich over poor?

• The economy – its weakness arising from the misalignment of effort, Wealth Generation and reward, Wealth Control?

I can explain how we got here, to show how the pyramid has become so dominant. Most of all, I would like to help you and your Party, by informing the discussion about what happens next.

Yes, all this is in a book. I no longer care about that. In the current political state, I just want to share this message, in a meeting / discussion, with you and your group. I think it may help you a great deal.

I ask for no reward (and absolutely do not want a career in politics) but would be interested to come to a meeting to present and inform. If you want to discuss by phone, please call 07867 638 683.

Thank you

Dear John Edward,

I have bought your Buell 1125R, from I just received it yesterday, and before restauration I would like to ask your about it. Could please tell me what has happend with Buell?

Does it had any mechanical demages, or just has an accident?

Maybe you still have a key from it? Or any spear parts?

Thank you for time and collaboration.

Have a nice day

Best regards

Hi there,

Macclesfield and Congleton affiliated band, Glass Ankle, along with friends based at Cutthroat Studio in Stockport have recorded a new song in support of Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, and his bid to become the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

The song expresses the band’s desire for a fairer society for all, explains why they believe Jeremy Corbyn and his team can deliver much-needed change, and urges everyone to unite and vote for The Labour Party on the 8th June 2017 to bring about said change.

It is an incredibly catchy indie-pop song with strong melodies and inventive chord changes that prevent it from ever sounding cliché. Its lyrics are poignant and highlight important issues such as homelessness, inequality, and mainstream media bias. You can listen and download #JC4PM for free via:

You Tube:

Instead of charging for downloads, the band are encouraging people to donate to The Labour Party.

Features and reviews of the song are most welcome. We hope you enjoy listening.

Kind regards,

Glass Ankle Admin Dept.

I am very upset to be leaving the EU and am concerned that I have heard nothing about the Labour Party’s ideas for how the exit will be managed. I personally think that a cross party of best brains should be dealing with this huge item. Can you enlighten me please on Labour’s plans.

Dear Sirs

I’ve just seen the Daily Politics show which interviewed Dianne Abbott about proposed police funding. It was simply shocking how little she understood regarding her brief.

How can you expect right minded people to even consider allocating their vote to facilitate placing her as Home Secretary for this country’s government. I would not trust her to clean my car, let alone manage important public services. Surely she’s not the brightest and the best you can offer the electorate. My intent in contacting you is to help you understand that you are not offering the viable alternative that the country so desperately needs. As a historical labour voter it is simply inconceivable that I can support the current offering.

Thank you

I think you should rally get behind and campaign against the leasehold scandal

You have so many new estates which have been missold under the scandal and I think you could secure some serious votes.

As immigration was the main focus for Brexit can I ask why none of the parties, media, focus groups etc raised the fact that the UK government had & have it in their power to regulate immigration?

Article 49 calls for “the achievement of a balance between supply and demand in the employment market in such a way as to avoid serious threats to the standard of living and level of employment in various regions and industries” Articles 45; 46d; 48 and 49 also allow for controls.

Since 2004, EU law has allowed governments to control movements of EU citizens as follows: to freely circulate only for three months and then require them to show they are working, a registered student or have sufficient resources to support themselves and have comprehensive sickness insurance.

The uk is one of the few governments not to have implemented this. For six years Theresa May was in the HO and did nothing. Why??

What were our MEPs doing??

The EU is being blamed when it’s our own government and opposition at fault.

Ladies and Gentlemen

I am emailing to ask if you could draw your members attention to an event at the Bollington Arts Centre on 17th February at 7:30pm.

We are hosting a conversation with Peter Ford, the former UK ambassador to Syria, who will be discussing the relationships between Britain, Syria and the Middle East. He is frequently asked to comment on the current civil war in Syria by many news channels on both radio and TV. Peter has vast experience of the Middle East and is now working with the UN on humanitarian issues arising from the conflicts. This will be an interesting and stimulating evening and should provide fresh insights into the UKs foreign relationships.

Tickets may be purchased on the door or from the cost is £5. I would urge that your members purchase online as we are restricted to 120 tickets and we expect them to sell quickly.

I am very concerned about the closure of the Natwest Bank in Alsager. Like many others I use the shops, library, opticians, Asda store and medical centre. I have no need to go to Congleton or Crewe. However, we are being directed to do that. My husband and I will, instead, change to Barclays Bank, after 45 years of being a loyal customer of Natwest. We live in Rode Heath so don’t get to hear what is happening with the protests in Alsager. We would both support all opposition to the closure. Does Natwest management know (or care) how many customers they will lose? Can you tell me who we should write to with our protest? Many thanks, it’s good to know people like Sue are fighting for us.

As the tory party are not involved in trying to save the mmu cheshire campus in crewe, could you tell me how you intend to put pressure on them to stay in the town. Its a cheaper option for students to study there than manchester

Im extremely concerned with the organisation of the town council election to middlewich cledford ward.

Firstly its being held in August 18th (lots of people away/ low publicity)

Secondly I have only three days to get a postal vote, i will be on holiday myself.

Appalling anti democratic exercise by the local authority/ turnout will be dire.

Dear Macclesfield CLP

I received an email today advertising a Macclesfield CLP meeting on August 1st, taking place at the Macclesfield Senior Citizens Centre, at which the CLP will be determining who to nominate for Leader.

As I joined the Labour Party within the last six months I am given to understand I will not be entitled to a vote. Am I allowed to attend regardless, to listen to the discussion and observe CLP proceedings?

Advice appreciated,

Kind regards
