HS2 in Cheshire

This week (29th January) the Government published its proposals to extend the high speed train service from Birmingham to Manchester and Leeds.  The Manchester route will take the line through Cheshire with stations at Crewe and Manchester Airport.  Altough this will not be reality for a decade or more it must be good news for the area and for the economy in general.  What do you think about the proposals?  Are you pleased that the proposed line avoids the Congleton area?  Do you think it will benefit the North or just focus even more activity in London?  Let us know using the links on the left.
